Dry grayish in the pipes is good.
Now that you have posted the info that you have aftermarket heads that I will assume are low mileage, the next question is have the been ported to the point of having any of the valve cover bolt holes breaking thru into the Intake ports? If so it may be time to back out each bolt one at a time dry any oil off of them and reinstall them with silicone sealer. Another question would be looking for any signs of white mosture above the oil line on the dip stick, or on the roof of the passenger side valve cover. Also it would not be the first time that a Intake valve guide seal or two has pulled up off of its guide.

So I disconnected the pcv hose and blocked off the vacuum hose connected to the manifold. That eliminated the white smoke issue. I noticed that there was oil in the vacuum hose getting sucked to the manifold. Not entirely sure what this all means. I drove the car for several years with out the pcv being connected to the manifold vacuum. While in Afghanistan, my dad had taken the car to get tuned at a local guys shop where he then decided that there needed to be a pcv to manifold vacuum established. Question is....am I hurting the car blocking off the vacuum line and not having the pcv connected?

pcv
X2 for what goat whore said
need pvc to get combustion byproduct out of crankcase. best for longterm health of motor. Gerry

Running a properly operating PVC valve is a win-win situation, and it would be worth your time to investigate further. There have been a lot of malfunctioning PVC valves sold - including AC Delco brand.
A working PVC valve will shut off during periods of high vacuum, and the bad ones are allowing oil to be sucked out of the crankcase. Basically you should be able to blow one way without much restriction, but the valve should prevent you from blowing through from the other end. The bad valves I've seen maybe restrict only about 50% of the flow.

Well the valley pan was from Kuaffmen Racing. The stock pan didn't clear the hydraulic lifters. Believe that the pcv is AC Delco. Anyone have a better choice?

Is the valley pan aluminum? Heard those are the worst. I would get a GOOD valley pan and pcv before I went any other route.

Well the aluminum ones I am fimilar with are one thin piece of sheet metal and or natorius for sucking.

You can use the Mopar style PCV valves in the valve covers, they're baffled.

Thanks Lust4speed I checked my pcv and its bad all this time I thought my rings were having a hard time seating low & behold pos valve great forum.
