Thanks rexs73gto. Sounds like the bracket on the intake is mounted correctly (minus the monster springs that are stretched 3X their length). Any description of how the throttle bracket on the carb looks? This one is not nice and level like my '72 and '65 carbs were, it's tilted back almost 45 degrees and does not make a nice smooth motion when the pedal is worked.
