Manilla tags with wire ties on any item of value, including item description, purchase price and target sell price range. Can't think of any better way up to now.

Another member here uses an old grocery store price gun to put price tags on each of his items so he can remember what he paid for them. Makes it easy for anyone going through the hoard to know what things are worth.

I gave up on trying to con her on prices. I just fess up and say it's worth more next year than I paid this year.
