This was a short term parting out project. Lots of bondo covering lots of rust!!! 4-banger, 4-bbl, 2spd. Saved the tinted glass, engine, trans, torque tube and shaft, plus many other parts. This could be the engine that powers my Model A Fordor? Snapped a few pics before unloading to pull parts. Its going to the scrapper 6/18/14.

Well I guess I won't ask about the qtr trim LOL.
That rear bumper looks like new compared to mine. Looks like you left a lot of parts on it? GT. |

The carb and/or the intake? I am keeping that engine together, have a few single plane intakes around.

Just the carb, already have a freshly painted manifold. I actually have 2 4bbl's, one that I'm rebuilding and will use on my '62 Tempest automatic and another just for spare parts, some of which are missing. But the one I'm putting on came off a manual-shift Tempest and the other is like the one you got, for the automatic with that vacuum fitting between the 2 mixture screws and I'm switching the base from the spare carb onto the other's air horn that I'll be using and because it's missing the vacuum fitting and it's just got the hole there, I made a vacuum fitting with some brass parts and run a hose from that to the hardline...there was a 1bbl in it before that I pulled out to 4bbl it. But didn't know if you wanted to get rid of your carb or not and it looks complete, so just figured I'd ask. Do you have any spare parts for it, such as the throttle spring bracket (or at least have a pic of it so I can make one) that mounts onto the carb base and do you have a close up shot of the side where the linkage is at?
From what the shop manual shows, the kickdown linkage for this carb is different from the one for the 1bbl and wanted to see what yours looks like to see if I can make one or even use the same 1 bbl linkage and the kind of stud it uses, since my carb doesn't have that. This would really help. Have asked this around PY forums, but so far, no answers. Thanks |

We have been restoring this Lemans for 3 years and I have been posting the progress over the years. It has required many hours and dollars, but the car is finally looking like a car again! The "Fat Mat" insulation is done on the floor and the trunk mat is installed. The carpet and interior is next, followed by the exhaust system. I ordered an OEM replacement dual exhaust system from Classic Car Exhaust Ssytems in Ohio. It will be the last installment before driving the car. All the work, except the body and paint, was done in our garage. The car is a 326 (now 350) automatic with Power steering and power brakes.
