We use Endurex in most builds. Zero issues over the last 10 years. Many with 500-plus HP and 20K street miles as well as track time. Unfortunately, there are no "offset" for the Pontiac from Comp, so we use Crower in those applications. When buying from a "reputable" parts source, there's not a WHOLE lot of difference in price.

Be VERY careful, though. I've seen two sets of 859-16 bought from Summitt that weren't "Endurex", they were the old non-oiling style. They bought the old stock and sell it not telling customers they aren't the "current level" parts. We buy them from Comp. If the link bars aren't removable, they're NOT "Endurex".

The use of restrictors is not related to the lifters. The purpose is to "force feed" the mains and in turn, the rods, by limiting the amount to the top. With .060" restrictors, the oil to the top is plenty for the springs and rockers. Do it. Don't do it. Just be sure you understand WHY.
