You don't need to remove the fender if you have the right adapter. Open the door and you should see a fairly small drilled and taped hole, that's what you're wanting.

The problem is that I have to drill a hole in the upper skin of the fender for the base and it has to be in the correct location, otherwise the antenna would be in wrong angle
