The odd part is they will allow a Ford FE OHC engine, but not a Pontiac ram air 5 ??????

455 firebird, The heads could be used in either application successfully, and probably will be. I agree with you about a high winder. I cannot wait to here a set of these singing on something north of 8,000 rpm.

Scott, I designed my heads to use Harland Sharp 1.65 roller rockers and guide plates. So if you already have HS rockers you can use them without any problem. Harland Sharp is also designing me a shaft rocker system. Those will be available with up to a 2.0-1 ratio's. You can definitely use your existing pistons although you may need to fly cut them a little.

No Don, I understand completely what you are saying about the rules as confusing, that's why I had asked, I thought maybe you had contacted EMC and asked about them being legal, because there is a notation on their site about other combo's "may" be approved.

Hopefully you can get ahold of them and they would approve for next year, regardless of whether those heads actually ever made it "out the door" with a car attached, they WERE an OEM head, I would think that they are at least in sprit and design a LOT closer to the original than some of what is being allowed at this point.

Just my two cents.
