Changing oil doesn't count I usually change mine every 15-25ish passes.

The second my motor comes off the dyno it is for sale......It won't make near 950 but the price will reflect how badly I want to go a different direction. I will use that motor all season and the price won't budge even at the end of the season. The sooner someone buys it the fresher the motor will be.

Thanks! My goal is to finish in the top 10 in both the NHRA and IHRA 10.90 classes.Tall task considering the insanely tough & FAST competition.

Soooooooo that's your answer to my question? Who is making 950-1050horsepower NA with a single 4brl carb and putting 200+ runs on the motor a year not even changing so much as a spark plug?

It's awesome that guys are making big power numbers but who's making those NA combos live?
I realize there are a few guys that are in the early stages with there motors that actually run. I Really hope they do it!

The Twister Heads don't flow near what Poe's Fusion heads do.Intake is different,Cam is very similar,this motor wont have a dry sump oil system.Im not running alcohol injection OR a alcohol carb.And it will have 1.8 rockers instead of 1.85's .....so less lift.Callies rods instead of GRP's,don't think you can call it same parts.
So no I don't think it will make 950. I'm hoping to make a tad over 900.

I think you might be surprised at what hp you end up making. A dry sump will make very little, if any more power then a good vacuum pump set up and the same with alcohol vs. gas. With both of my engines switching from gas to alcohol on the dyno, made very little difference in hp, maybe 2 or 3 hp. Torque was up on alcohol, but hp was a wash. The fact that you're running a .043 ring pack and have an iron block should more then make up those differences.

I forgot it had a .043 ring pack....... So I'll freshen the thing at the end of the season and still have a. $15k price tag on it.........unless someone offers me $12k for it not freshened.

It sounds like your mind is pretty well made up.

Here is the dyno sheet on Kelvins motor when he realized a cylinder was out of round. Same Ross pistons as yours, flat tops with a smaller bore. This was also before he added the dry sump.

These pulls showed 945 HP without having the motor sealed.

I think it's safe to say you have the parts to make 950 HP keeping the motor under 7500 RPM.
