Keith

That is a very nice table. It's really too bad that flat chested gal is doing yoga in front of it spoiling our view...

Default Table

Kind of ironic that "so called" table has 4 Wheels on it , is into the wall and Danica happens to be closest to it. LOL. Ed

DVR'ng the race now while outside enjoying Spring weather and setting up to grill.

Any takers to wager - How many laps before "she's in the wall" at today's 'Dega race? And / or the infamous "he got in my way and wrecked me!"

It'd be nice if she won @ least one race this season to go w the proverbial hype mo-chine No-Go Dani

As I predicted last week, Kurt Busch - after missing the first three races of the season, is in front of Danica in the points after Talladega.

It's just a matter of time before she's back in the 20's.

How many races has Tony missed?

Not a single one - horrible start to his season. His worst ever...

Wanna take bets on who finishes the season higher in the points?

Tony still has a legitimate shot to make the Chase and compete for the Championship.

Danica, not so much.

Question GoDaddy moving to F1 Stewart-Haas 2016 Sponsorship

Read between these lines regarding "domestic" & "need to reach a more globally-diverse set of customers" and Stewart-Haas:
"The company would still like to sign Patrick to a personal services contract, and a spokesperson said it was looking to expand its international brand. NASCAR is much more popular in the United States than it is in other parts of the world."

From USA Today:

"We love Danica and all she does to empower and inspire people, especially women, which is why we are working to keep her in the GoDaddy family," GoDaddy chief marketing officer Phil Bienert said. "We have the utmost respect for Stewart-Haas Racing, and they've been phenomenal partners. In fact, NASCAR has been a tremendous domestic platform to help us achieve an 81 percent aided brand awareness domestically, but at this stage, we need a range of marketing assets that reach a more globally-diverse set of customers."

"The news also comes as Patrick is in the final year of her contract at Stewart-Haas Racing. Both Patrick and team officials have expressed optimism that she'll sign an extension with the team, however finding funding is now also necessary to keep Patrick with the team, as GoDaddy was one of the four-car team's biggest sponsors."

Wasn't it you that complained about Nationwide Insurance spending advertising dollars on NASCAR?

I had never heard of Nationwide prior to their involvement in racing.

Looks to me that NASCAR can market a brand quite well.

There is no Stewart-Haas F1 team.

I don't think Danica's an accomplished enough race car driver to pull off switching series again like JP Montoya.

She is now 7 years removed from her only win in automobile racing career spanning 17 years.

Not much of a racing resume and the novelty of being a woman racer is gone. There are other women that have shown more promise that are much younger and have a better shot at being able to compete successfully.

Clint Bowyer with a "stellar" 21st place finish at Kansas overtakes the touring princess, who finished right where she started (27th), for 16th place in the point standings...

Carl Edwards, Casey Mears, Austin Dillon, Michael Annet, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Matt Debendetto and Ty Dillon all were a lap down like Bowyer - but still managed to gain ground on Panica - who was 2 laps down.

It won't take too much longer for her spot in the standings to match the combination of her talent (or lack thereof), her equipment and team.

Top tier team and equipment combined with her ability as a race car driver = bottom half in the points over the course of a full season. Her career average finish is currently 24.4 in Sprint Cup competition.

In 2012, Danica's average start was 36.1 compared to an average finish of 28.3.

She now qualifies much better with an average of 21.8, but barely improves that with an average finish of 19.5 so far this season.

She can't lose any more spots this weekend as it's the All Star race. But last year her average start at Charlotte was 9th and her average finish was 32nd...

With Go Daddy saying good bye it will be interesting see if she remains with SH. It seems the name of the game is "bring your sponsors with you and we'll give you a ride". And that goes for many drivers.
