Yup, contact cleaner, can get it at any electronic supply store, like Radio Shack. But it kind of depends on the type of switch it is, and the damage/issue.
Amps are so inexpensive, even pretty good ones, if it's old, replace it. If you look at the class D type, they are very compact and efficient, can squeeze those in almost anywhere. .
