Thanks, Mike.
(and John V) I put it back in, then started looking at more info I have. And I found the codes! Look at it now and see what you think. The 'appointment' codes are strange, not sure what was actually stamped on cowl tag, but is what was in the chart. 1970-74 Interior Codes

John, I'm glad you put it back in. When I saw your reply last night, I figured 209 MUST have been related to the Seat Mix option that you described.
Your car has Black Appointments but it ISN'T an Appointment Mix, rather it is a Black Interior (with standard Black Appointments as typical of a regular Black Interior) but with the Red Seats. The guy in that other old Forum thread thought he had Red Seats. He couldn't figure out exactly what color they were. As it turns out, somebody may have dyed the original White Seats as his 208 Trim Code meant that the car had a Red Interior but with White Seats. Yours and his had rare "Seat Mix" interiors. Very cool. As I wondered in my initial post, how would they have coded the Seat Mix option. Now I know! |

John,...tiny, tiny nit to pick from your (appreciated) chart. Morrokide has two 'r's.
