I thought this was an awesome photo showing 1958 Edsels lined up on a Ford Test Track. Hopefully, people liked green Edsels.

Where are they all today??
The '58s weren't bad looking cars, just a little different.
By '60 they were obviously just Fords made to look different and in so doing they were butt ugly.

LOL at the lab coats worn by the engineers. (maybe they are just company execs)
Reminds me of the photo ops done by faux climate scientists in current times.

Lots of cool pics ....we grew up in some good times.

Anyone remember the model of the Mr. Gasket Gasser?

Wish I had all the stuff from my childhood .... graduated HS ... went into the military, never looked back. Still haven't spent a night at the parent's house since 1976. Nothing but memories and the GTO ... .guess that's why I still have it.

Jungle Jim Libereman (sp) ..one of my heroes back in the day. I spent a LOT of time at the drag strip in my teenage years. Saw all the greats of the day.

Used to love the fact that you could buy plastic models of just about any of the top racers back then.

We had company issued lab coats when I started at Milford (white ones) and the DPG (blue ones).

I still have one of the blue ones - I wear it in my garage occasionally.

This has to be one of the most unusual structures I've ever seen. Also appears to be a locomotive behind the tower.

Thought I would bring a few of these old bicycles back up. The Deluxe Slingshot Rail in the LIFE Magazine looks pretty wild! I never saw one of those before. Has dual shifters, a red and a black.
