They basically converted it into a modern AM/FM. Looks externally like original AM, but internally is modern electronics with both bands. Pushbuttons are functional as well.

I was just looking around the other day trying to find someone to restore or maybe mildly upgrade the stock am unit but sheesh! those prices are steep.

I may have to just stick it in the dash in non-working condition and put something modern in the glove box.


Anyone have a lead on a "working" stock am radio?
