Most parts stores will scan it and pull the codes for free, they may also give you a print out with a list of the code(s). If you want to try and pull them yourself this method may work

OK, thanks, guys............I thought since OBD11 didn't start until '96 model year that there would not be a code stored in a '92, but will start there when it happens again.

thanks, johnnygoose....this will be a huge help. I have a a cheaper scan tool and will plug this in and see what's what. This is the first time I've seen a list of codes for OBD1 in fact I didn't know OBD1 existed, but makes sense since we have OBD11 now, duh!
