Or I can save myself some time and withdraw all the money out of my bank account and light it on fire.

Truth is I would gladly talk to some of these people that have castings and give them to valve locations and such for free just so I can have something to work with and not have my customers have to pay Fortune to have it be the best it could be.
I get that these people are up against stock bore size valve locations vs. Aftermarket block valve locations. But it shouldn't be a big deal to have two programs one for smallbore and one for large bore

The bank account comment part, man you're right on the money there, ... But I have made an offer to you/crew that requires some extra work yes, but all things considered with that it works for both of us and would provide you with a platform to do exactly what you wish ...

... Not poking or prodding, I'm just saying ...

Got a set here now. Looked at it hard and reevaluated my thoughts on it. Seems like a tremendous amount of work and effort for pretty much a lateral move imo. If the customer wants to go down that road I'm certainly up for it and we can make it as good as it can be. But from where I'm standing it just kind of doesn't make sense. If you want to discuss I'm willing to get into extreme detail on what I see and think. No bashing, no negative agenda just honest opinion.

... well, the original 1st stage of my offer was to finish my "other" platform first, and then your modified version would happen next ...

... and could then be used as a point of comparison, from 1st Stage to 2nd Stage versions, which i honestly feel would be an extremely interesting project ...

... i have much respect for you and your crew, and look forward to anything positive in terms of results that could be gathered from a joint effort from talent such as ourselves ...

I'm sure all that seems great to you from a data perspective. However for the customer it would be downright foolish! 2 sets of rocker gear two different manifolds , two sets of Pistons. Not good financially for the customer.
What I would do to that casting is a tremendous change. Nothing would work with the old stuff.

Sounds like it would be better to start over with a clean sheet.

Internet racing was strong today, do any of you work?

... wrong, i was agreed to supply the complete engine, which means only one set of rocker gear, only one set of pistons, only one manifold, no tremendous change at all, as i would have supplied the complete engine, even a billet carburetor, remember ??? ...

... the point was to determine exactly where we stood with power in an N/A application with the Gen I architechture, the extra secondary parts wouldn't cost you anymore money, because they wouldn't be 2nd at all, as i have paid for the 1st level of components ...

Two valve size/positions are already on offer from one Pontiac head manufacturer. It may not be what you would do but it's on offer for small vs bid bore Pontiacs.
