Ot at least thats my take on it.

Stan, I questioned Jack's new build see post 1160.

Now you are trying to confuse the issue with facts.

There is also a pair of high tech carburetors on the car now. I tried discussing this before but was quickly accused of being a CV'ie hater....when all I was trying to do it get the facts.

Cheering squad? He has a fast car and is using CV-1 heads. Lets just set facts straight here. He's not using some hidden agenda head pretending to be a CV-1 head after some sort of secret process.

Its actual CV-1 heads on his engine, and it sure looks (even to a lot of folks who thought the CV-1 dead) like he may have more in it. So whether you call him a one hit wonder, or say that all the CV-1 cheerleaders are pinning their hopes on one guy...

...it STILL shows the head has potential. Marcella is wrong. This head was bashed heavily shortly after it came out, and for several years appeared to be dead. Its not 7 years of production and trials. Its maybe not even half that.....though that could be argued and I'm not going to sit here and try to nail down exactly how much time its had.

ONE guy's dream and his own pocketbook to make something new for US pontiac guys, and a certain group here bashed it before it even had a chance to get off the ground. You know who you are. Yes, I feel bad for what Jim Roland went through here.

And Paul...you have the nerve to call anyone who wanted to see CV-1's succeed cheerleaders? Why don't you try bashing the whole group who knocked it almost from the start.

Jim Roland didnt have the support of a massive company behind him like Edelbrock. And the Edelbrock heads were far from perfect. Oil drain back issues and a healthy 265 cfm if I recall correctly really set the world on fire huh?

It was only through guys spending money to play with them that they got to where they are today. A LOT OF MONEY. And not every attempt was all that successful. There are a lot of guys that have cursed edelbrock after spending money and went a different route.

So where are all those EHTTFMF's? Its easy to be a cheerleader when you already had a product with some proven success. But none of you got there with the heads Edelbrock sold you in the box. A LOT had to be done to make them fast.

But no...you can't respect Dick Fulton for what he's done? You can't respect Jim Roland for his efforts? And whether you LIKE Bill Anderson or not, I can't believe.....yes, can't believe.....you won't show an ounce of respect to Bill for attempting to achieve something with these heads.

No, you don't like him so its trash talk. Trash talk seems to be the name of the game in racing these days. TTTTFMF.

Seems like today there are less people with honor and integrity, and more who want to follow the Yellow Bullet way. Yes, there's lots of info on that forum, but the whole "Trash Or Be Trashed Where the weak are killed and eaten!!!" stuff is a bunch of BS.

People used to be able to race and be sportsmen at the same time. A racer can take all challengers on and still have respect for his opponent.

Go ahead...call me names. Tell me I'm the kinder, gentler sort and maybe I should go home before I get my feelings hurt. Guess what? I really don't care. I served my country and know what it means to have brothers. I'm also kind and gentle. At times. Other times I'm not. But its not YOU guys I want to take up arms against.

THAT is what I wish this pontiac community could be. Brothers. Without the trash talk. I've heard some say here that through all this trash talk one pontiac guy would have another pontiac guy's back. And yes, I have seen it.

But it has been totally lacking RIGHT HERE. I'm going to challenge you EHTTFMF's. Challenge you to support CV-1's for real. If they can't make it on their own after that, so be it. But if you're so sure your E-heads are better then you have nothing to fear.

I personally want to see new products for us. Whether its Visner making the attempt, Roland Racing or someone else. Don't make it a sour environment for new products. If you don't like a particular person, then don't have anything to do with them. But don't come here and make this a virtual war. keep the warfare out on the track.

I don't know Jeff. I don't think you'd see 25 or 30 over a good wet sump and pump. Could be wrong though.

Different situations probably yield different results. What is the weight difference?

Dry sumps made hp vs wet sumps because they make vacuum too. Now we put vacuum pumps on so not much there but better oiling after that. Some systems may be better down track do to better oil control. Imo.

First off it's not a war....you of all people should know this. However there has been people referring to it as a war. I like to see better products also. I've never said anything negative about the CV1 heads. I've spoke the truth, the person reading that can form their own opinion. Calvin dyno'd at one of the shops I dyno at and am friends with the man in charge. He drove right by my house to get there. I would've been happy to go along and help. I would've brought along anything they'd need to tune.

Edelbrock heads didn't have an oil drain back problem... that was an Internet untruth. If the Eheads didn't come out I doubt their would have been the others to follow. We'd still be using Wenzlers. The Ehead is still the most powerful Pontiac head in the world....might not of set the world on fire but produced 3000 hp with standard pushrod location.

Dick Fulton is one of my Pontiac heroes along with Marty P, Kinsler, Slowbird, Lil Jack, Wreckmastr, Robin Robert , Cosgrove, Brand X, Langer, Dwight, Dave Johnson, Snyder, Leech and any of the other guys that digged deep into their pockets and had the dedication to work hard and go through all the set backs and produce mind boggling performance with a Pontiac engine. I have no idea why you feel I think differently.
I've talked to Jim and think it's great he brought another head to the market along with All - Pontiac, Lynn McCarty, Don Johnston and anyone else who has helped the hobby. Also have to admire Dave at SD for offering economically priced power producing cylinder head packages.

When have I slammed TTB? He is the guy that insulted my work but couldn't back it up... however I think we worked that out.

I wouldn't say anyone hoping the CV1 succeeds is a cheer leader.... I'd say the guys that have accomplished little in the automotive hobby but are hanging their hopes on the success of the CV1 program so much that they are willing to twist the truth to make it look like it's something it's not is a cheerleader.

BTW.... I don't think Marcella is ever wrong.

Also where have I trashed talked?
