On the tire issue that's been mentioned;
If changes must be made for safety sake I'd rather see some other forms of speed control. Maybe restrictions on cubic inches or something, don't mess with the factory appearing concept (tires) because that's what makes it exciting.
You put race slicks on these cars then they become just another full blown race car... meh.
I'll bet way back when this FAST series started out nobody thought low 10 's - 9 's would become the norm on skinny bias ply tires!
