Here is my original non-restored breather tube on my Judge. It appears to be not painted, rather has a thin gray-black-ish plating (black zinc?),but it is 47 years old and shows its age. I'm not an expert on plating at all, and sorry about the quality of the picture.

Thanks SD,

I have a friend with 69 Judge that has a very similar appearance to what yours looks like. Wonder if the NOS ones were done at a different time/finish or if time/heat has turned the greenish color to the blackish gray? Jimmy

I've owned the car since '74 and the tube has always looked like this. There are great B&W pictures of '70 RA systems in a lot of the period magazines and they look similar...not black, but a dark gray.
