I understand the slower car winning on RT deal very well, have done it a bunch since I began racing in the late 70's...
I was watching on You Tube a big street heads up race with Chief and he was getting his A$$ handed to him a few times on the flashlight, can't remember what race but it was recent. Not trying to knock him just stating what I saw.
Chief is one of us racers that are trading in his e-heads to go quicker!

I hope he likes the new heads when he switches but 3 second 1/8th miles are going to be hard to improve upon and he might should just keep the E's laying around the shop in case he decides he wants to go fast again...

Even if he doesn't hold onto his old Eheads he can always order another pair from Butler for around 3k. I believe JB has them in stock. Not a bad deal.....3k for a three second head.

I'm not his banker, but he runs standard pushrod location Edelbrock heads and that's the going rate.

That's a good idea, George. How many times have those heads ran 3.90?

Point being IS when you are starting off with a head thats out of the box 330 cfm it would cost less to get it to 350 cfm as oppose to a head thats is 280 cfm out of the box.........HENSE the HP would be the BETTER choice for "Bang for your BUCK"!
.........and just for sh_ts & giggles how many of those 3.90's has Chief run? Wasn't it with his PRO MOD Firebird (you know the one he ran at INDY in PRO MOD)?

George, is this your opinion or are you experienced at running high three low fours in the 1/8?

He did qualify 31out of 33 cars in attempt to get in a 16 car field and killed it with a best .170 reaction time!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend in STL the #16 bump was a 5.804 in Pro Mod.

Heck the Top Dragster Field this past weekend in STL it took a 6.381 to get that #32 spot!!!!
Any Pontiac powered dragsters besides Jeff K able to qualify for that?

Top Sportsman well.....GTOGEORGE you could've qualified for that but would have had to dial at least a 7.99....which everyone that reads this sight knows it's in your car!

Who knows if he will ever run the new heads. Could have been using them to tweak a sponsor.
I would have liked him to just do a real 410cfm wide port. 50-60 cfm is a ton more air with two big hair dryers.

Since you would like to see it so much. Why don't you just sent him your 410 cfm heads to run?

Its 408. Chief has more than enough money to run any head he wants. Doubt 63ccs would help him anyway.

$$$$$ that"s why. There are 5% on here looking for max performance. Most are street/strip cars or stock restored cars. E heads been around so long and so many miles some are just probably worn out!!!!! no other aluminum head can say that.
