I believe you! Considering I was the last to dang near win a championship with a Pontiac in a Super class.....but just think...if a "premier head porter"in the Pontiac Community called my car "slow" going 160+ with a bbc......I can only imagine what his perception is when I was going 147ish with a Pontiac.

I know you've picked up a ton since switching to the BBC, how much MPH did you gain in the back 1/2 with the Pontiac engine as compared to the current engine?

I'm guessing you picked up 29-30 MPH with the old motor?

These are a comparison with the same intake being used with the throttle stop 10.90 racing....
Pontiac motor with head porter A's head I picked up 33 mph in the back half...
Pontiac Motor with your Fusion ported heads picked up 35MPH in the back half...

With the BBC I'm picking up about 45ish mph on the back half.

When it gets right down to it.....Time was the main reason. And I enjoy the challenge of trying to dial a faster car which takes seat time not keyboard time.
I think we all agree driving a car is a heck of a lot funner than typing.

Build ya a 1000hp+ 15:1+ compression Pontiac motor send your heads out to have them done and start to finish how much time will it take you?

Then once it's running enjoy it long enough to form your own opinion of it at the end of a long season....

I have only ONE desire, and that is to go as fast as I can go...So I think i'll skip your suggestion.

You know if you can run a 10.90 at (it doesn't matter what speed)m and you can cut a GOOD light it wont matter what your top end is, its the one that gets to the finish line first without going under....right!

If I zero'd my box out your 8.09 would be in trouble....then it would be about who got to the stripe 1st....lol
If I gota talk smack to ya for you to take Jim's advice and change hats I think you'd be pleasantly surprised at how bad you'd beat me if I went 8.0something in the other lane against you
