Cool. But I'd think not for a car with fenders. Unless it was a really wide "Wide Track Pontiac".

Thanks for the pictures. I'd never seen the picture of those heads unblown. Was it '62 when he reportedly had the twin-blown V8 at the Indy Nationals? If so, I surprisingly missed seeing it there. Of course that's somewhat understandable, what with him being so busy with Pontiacs that year- trying to iron out the twin-215 V8s dragster (single front-mount blower) and taking Top Eliminator with the Pontiac hemi dragster.

Not mentioned above is the other attraction of these heads on a blown car- visibility.

Tom- not long ago when I called George he didn't mention having more than the one pair of those heads.

I thought the twin blown Pontiac at the Indy nationals was Eddie Hills car

Eddie Hill definitely ran the '61 Indy Nationals, but I can't remember if he also did in '62. I wish had been into taking more pictures back then, but I was usually "travelling light"- rode the 600 miles to Indy in '61 on a borrowed '49 Harley!

Although I didn't see Mickey's dragster with the outboard-intake heads, there is a photo of it (posted on some thread here?) supposedly taken at one of those Nationals- either '61 or '62.

The twin-Pontiac dragster of Mickey's had a pair of the BOP aluminum 215 c.i. engines (one with Pontiac heads and the other with Buick heads). The engines were in-line with a 6-71 in front, ducted over-the-top to both engines. He had high hopes for it, but it needed more development. On the other hand he (and his whole crew) were quite surprised at the success of the hemi dragster.
