Personally.... I have 255/60/15 on all 4 corners or my TATA and on my other '79 I have 275/60/15 on the back and 255/60/15 on the front.
No issues at all.

the 255/60/15 is 27.05 thats .4" shorter than the 225/70/15 so it wont help me get any more ground clearance
