Dick, my GTO is not here to look at so I'm going by what I recall looking at when I was asked if I had the bolts & washers.

Looking at the tire, peer into the wheelhouse rearward of the tire. You are looking at the inner fender from the wheel side (not the engine side).

As I recall from looking at it, there are 2 larger holes in the inner fender along the bottom, more or less side by side. IIRC, the forward most of these 2 holes is supposed to get a bolt that attaches the inner fender directly to the frame rail behind it.

At risk of further confusing things, I think the attached pic shows the hole in question where the subject bolt and washer is used. The hole at the lower rear of the opening is the bolt hole in question, I think.

Based on the threads in the frame, it is a 5/16" bolt as W.E. indicated. We tried a 3/8" bolt, didn't fit.
