I’m not arguing right or wrong, and yes it would seem he is not going with a larger engine so yes I am wrong (my gosh I’ve been wrong before). I’m sure I’ll bE wrong again and guess what the sun will come up! LOL! You do realize I gave my opinion, going off what I’ve seen on the show! His last 5 races/Laps he made he lost 4 of them. He said he has other ways of dealing with the more powerful/faster car, ok cool. I’m glad he is stepping up to a better head, he should have done it for Indy! I’m not a turbo guy but I do know boost and I do now racecars and I do know Racing! I’ll still say 520+ cubes and a pair of turbos are the way to go.....you can never have too much power! You know there is nothing wrong with giving an opinion (right or wrong) as long as it doesn’t harm someone!!

Im just amazed at how you wont just drop something after finding out you were wrong about it.. Its that part of your opinion that becomes painful to keep reading about..

520 cubes with 2 big turbos is overkill for street racing . So you have 1 engine making 3000hp and the other making 4000hp but both can only put 2500hp to the pavement . Whats the difference? 1 guys got 500hp more in reserve the others got 1500hp . So for the street 500hp over the cliff is alot as even for the track for that matter ! Some race cars dont even have that big of a shot of NOS on there car! The only place that kind of power is good for is on a preped track.. And im talking about getting down the street reliably / consistently. Not I did it once back in the 90's!

And as for his new heads being the better choice? Well that remains to be seen. Lets not get too presumptuous here ... We will just have to wait and see....

Wrong again...you can have too much power for the street...

Last night it was mentioned that Ryan has 4000 available but about the most that can be used is 2500 on the street and even that is ramped in...

You really don’t understand how a little old E-head 482. An whip up on that do you...
The road is the equalizer... I whip plenty of more powerful cars on the street...

Im glad you gave your opinion this is America! Racing on the street is dangerous, ill stick with the dragstrip and I know I've put way more passes on the dragstrip then most here, you can always dial back power but if you don't have it to begin with! Yes I do understands chiefs 482, Damn-it I've been RACING boosted engines for over 30 years! your not talking to a kid that sit behind a desk or computer. I work on my engines........I fix my engines....I don't pay someone to do it. My engine has been to KRE 1 time and one time only in the last 10-12 years! I do the work.......make the decisions.........buy the parts.......install the parts...........Fab a lot of my stuff.......DRIVE/RACE the racecar.......WIN the races, I been doing it for 40 plus years! I have my opinions, you have yours.....cool!

It is if you'll zip it.
It's tiring as he** to try and read a thread when it's full of your babble.
First "You're right and everyone else is wrong" then its only "your opinion"
I'd give you my opinion but I'd get banned.

I'm done here.

So........Seriously! Obviously you cant read.....just stating my opinion....sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong (just like everyone else).....get over it! I'm just replying to other peoples name calling (like yours) and opinions (like yours)! Everyone else can get on here and name call and sometimes lie and discredit other racers and companies and thats ok BUT i can't do it.....are you hearing yourself. You can come on here and talk about your round, round stuff (which is cool).... and I don't say anything, h_ll its your dime, you give your opinion all day long! So basically i have to agree with everyone on here to make you happy....well damn ill just do that! LOL! i apologize! For the record I've never attack you or called you names no matter if I agree with you or not....just saying! This isn't high school.

Currently, calling the CV-1 a better head than the E head is debatable at best. Until someone makes more power than Mike did NA or Rodney Butler has with his Wide Port twin turbo its kind of hard to do.
In that old closed thread about Bruce calling me out on the CV-1s is was stated that Mike did not switch in part that it was a lateral move, equal. And that guy knows his heads.
Not saying Chiefs new CVs won't make more power than his std E heads, they have 100 more CFM.
They have to be reliable, not burn plugs or crack seats ect. 40lbs of boost can make a small problem a big one real quick.
That will be the test, its a prove it world and Chiefs is a big money world com paired to us po folk.
He just moved up to #1 with a 350 E head, still..........

Then Chief comes on and sets us all straight. Going smaller yet and keeping E heads until further notice.
Then Bruce Almighty is telling us all about the virtues of short strokes and why its the way to go.
Can not make this stuff.
People here have got on me about mixing it up with "couple" guys 2-3 seconds faster than me. I get it, I really do. Just like to talk engines ect.
Then Bruce comes on and tells all the big dogs about short strokes and why they are better and turbos are the way to go. From driving his wifes 13 sec street car and playing with a home porta tree I guess.
Must have had a 5 min conversation with Q and thinks he gets to suggest things to the fastest of the fastest around here.
Polishing the 59 block would be more useful.

I won't argue with you on this George. Thanks.
More amazing is people don't have a clue what Bill's porting skill level is. Think most actually believe BS posted on pathetic zone. One doesn't work as sole head porter for Sonny Leonard Racing without being among the best of the best.
Yet criticized by many who havn't seen his work or seen CV1 heads.

Bill can do a great E-head or any other head for that matter Dragncar. 😁

I will agree with you on that one. One doesn't work at one of the top 3 engine shops in the country for 6 years and not know what he is doing..
Sonny's has a lot of championships under their belt... a lot of which have been in the last 6 years.. Pontiac guys live in a small pond but there is a huge ocean out there they know nothing about...
The Pontiac head is not unique.. flow and acceleration are all the same no matter what the brand...
Questioning Bill's ability makes you look like a dumbass... just my opinion as I work with a car that swims in the ocean...

What does Twin have to do with anything I wrote ? What does PZ have to do with any opinion you "think" I have of him ?
I have heard more sh!t talk around here about the man to tell you the truth.
He did not design the CV did he ?
Very little, if any things I have said about the head have anything to do with Bill.
I made peace with the guy, let it rest.
What I am saying is the head now has to prove it. Has not been done before so proving is not anything out of the ordinary.
Just do it, people will give credit where it is due and I will send you your 50 bucks.
Simple.

Yep, history setting your opinion. And once any head does well, you'll be the first nut swinger. LOL

Chief, a third nut is coming.

... you really need to leave Leech out of your posts, because you do not have a clue what he stated to me on the phone many times actually about that topic, a lateral move ?? My ass !!! Was i offering to supply my 572 in ready to run form, YES ... but Mike also totally expected the Bird to go faster with the 572 in the car, and that's a fact, his exact words actually ... but he had prior endeavors under way with other heads that he said he needed to finish before we could run the 572 in his car, and i told him given his car, determination and people he had working with/for him that it was worth it for me to wait, which is exactly what i was doing ...

... you really don't have a clue what you're talking about ...
