I don't travel much. Its a long haul over mountains, 3+ hours closest track. But it looks like more cars will be making the trip up here when Sacramento closes in 2020. Only 5 1/4 mile strips in all of CA. Will judt be 4 in a few years. It would be great for racing to be in the middle of the country where there are a lot of tracks with flat ground in-between. Had the biggest crowd I ever seen last Saturday, well over 2,000 people. There was a nostalgia funny car group that showed up. One on nitro, pretty cool. |

Those low car counts usually happen early in the season when it is just the locals showing up. We have a Nostalgia Race late Aug that gets a good turnout. I have made the finals in 3 classes those days. Talk about going rounds. Then the next day is a Wally race. I just feel lucky to have a NHRA 1/4 mile track with a recent surface 20 min from my house. It might be the oldest strip in the country, at least one of the oldest. Since 1955 and organized drag racing has not been around much longer than that. Elevation, 10 feet. |

I hope no personal tragedy puts you in my situation. Congrats on a win. Pontiac power! BTW most don't post when they only made runner up or worse unless asked. Just an observation...do what you want to do. Yep I've busted on you about losing... because you've posted losses like they were important... voluntarily. |
