Your car lol. Should run 10.0's in anything. Then you won't have to convert your roll bar into a cage.
You can call it anything you want. It wasn't an oem design. (Closest to some Chev and Ford designs imo)

There has to be some reason/advantage to buying one or they would not be in business. By "place" I mean where they fit in the racing world? Myself, I would not even think about buying one if I had that kind of coin. Who cares about "Proline" really. They don't make cars so its sort of like a version of a industrial engine but for racing, I think. |

But anyone who has read this thread knows you showed (as normal) your lack of knowledge on just another subject. I did actually try to help you. Like the old story abut giving a man a fish or teaching him how to fish. But you were just like that horse. While I am sure you do not understand any of this others will. Stan

Who do you help out around here really ? I have 50 NHRA trophies in my heap. I build the engine, tranny and rear end as well as install suspension. Now just how can you "help me out" ? I am about to step up in power in a pretty big way. Doing engine and tranny myself. Rear end needs nothing. You give a bunch of numbers that rarely mean anything to very many people. Your MO is to quote someone, highlight the one part you find fault with and point it out but in truth you are a troll. A no car computer only troll that hangs out in the race section. Textbook. |

George, I understand delay boxes help you out with consistent reaction times. But they still have a human component and can be beat. Its not unusual for me to run my dial or + .01 with a reaction of .010 or better. That will get its share of wins wherever. Who the he!! do you think you are running down the people at my track and their abilities ? Its been in continuous operation since 1955. How many tracks can say that. We have a few racers that travel all over the country for big time bracket races. The Judge I posted pics of took home 40,000$ in the Million Dollar Race that Verdi won. He is tough but can be beat. Never raced him in eliminations but have beat plenty of people who have beat him. I just lost a race to a 10.90 Super Street car. Its a 8 flat car with throttle stop. The race was as close as you could get, got his respect and he was won divisional s. I cut a .027 and most of the time that gets a win, but he cut a .020. Both ran our dials. Yesterday I was HORRIBLE. Was going just fine, cut a .013 on last time trial. Then to father of the 10.90 guy along with 3 other sons that all race Fords collapsed. They pit right behind us. Choked on food or had a mini stroke. Had all the fire and ambulance people there. He is going to be OK but my head was not right after that. I do best when I think about absolutely nothing. |

And it can be done.. footbraking in an 11 second street car with flip flops and Bermuda shorts on if you know what your doing. The best they can go with those boxes is double 0 and dead on, and I can do that with my feet. Not as consistently as I did in my super pro days, I’ll grant you that, but if you get hot, it just takes a few pieces to fall in place. One lucky round here or there. Box guys get soft against us foot brakers.. they get afraid to go red so they click a few thou in they normally wouldn’t and leave the door open. ![]()

John Forces crew chief does not race, with out him they do not win races. There are some very smart guys out there that do not race anymore, or have ever raced yet they can tune a car better that a lot of racers.

You said where is their place--- not where is their place in the race engine market. It's pretty simple- they offer a race ready proven crate engine. They also do allot of high end Ferrari and Lambo engines as well. And when you say who cares-- their end user cold say who cares about "XYZ"-- (insert your favorite Pontiac engine builder there).

The 481X is BBC based, but it is a billet block, billet head combo rated up to 5,000HP. It has become the go-to engine for a lot of racers because of the availability of parts, and price. It is probably the most mass produced billet engine out there.
