And it can be done.. footbraking in an 11 second street car with flip flops and Bermuda shorts on if you know what your doing. The best they can go with those boxes is double 0 and dead on, and I can do that with my feet. Not as consistently as I did in my super pro days, I’ll grant you that, but if you get hot, it just takes a few pieces to fall in place. One lucky round here or there. Box guys get soft against us foot brakers.. they get afraid to go red so they click a few thou in they normally wouldn’t and leave the door open. ![]()

He sent so many out of town folks with delay boxes home it was not funny. I won just as much foot braking it. Its a whole different deal. My T brake broke last year and I finished the weekend foot braking. Fish out of water by now. There are many, many real fast cars a whole lot nicer than mine that have not won even half as much as me. But George will tell you they are all amateurs to take away what I have done. George and Stan are still posers. Just because you raced your wife's 'street car a few times down the track does not make you "a racer for life". And plenty of people are racers that dont even race or own a car. They live the life. Build engines, port heads ect. |

A FUNNY story..........I raced with a guy that everytime he won a round (it was because of him) or lost a round (it was never him), another words he never really looked at the REAL reasons for the WINS or LOSES because of that he NEVER got any better (basically he was fooling himself)! Just Saying! GTO George |

Where the hell do you get the idea you can say that when you have NO IDEA. Don't forget DRAGNQUEEN you may have been in nursery school when I made my 1st pass down a dragstrip(early summer 1969 two trials in an I/SA 59 Dodge belonging to a friend of my brother and I ). Have I ever claimed to be a big bad bracket racer like you? Hell no... Had some fun though. I played the bracket game a few times over the years... 88-98 at least twice a month. Deb and I had our first date bracket racing... I ran Mod she ran street/trophy. I had my slowest ever reaction time that day(over 1 sec ) Her car decided to take a wire off the cap 1st round and sputtered to mid 15's . Glad I wasn't racing her... She'd of thought I sabotaged her. She prefers car cruises and big show's over racing. However she's competitive... Way back early 90'sRome NY next to Jamie Stanton's Chevelle on the local Blvd she beat him off the light....took him 2-300 ft before he got by .Did plenty of street racing before life's responsibilities cut that to a minimum. I'd prefer heads up racing. However I'd run out of $ for more important things like family and caring for them ahead of myself and my fun. Remains to be seen if I can race at level I want vs what my bones allow. I want to do drag week type stuff. If health doesn't allow' one of my "kids" wants to drive for me. She's pretty aggressive and competitive. Was good at running hard with the snowmobiles against the big guys too. One son is great tech but not a competitive person the other is into motocross and snocross and a body builder. Am I a racer or poser??? I know where I stand... |

![]() I "borrowed" the wife's car for a footbrake race this weekend and made it to the finals but didn't close the deal. We were splitting so it really didn't matter anyway! In the limited times I've ran her car (under 30 passes total) I've now pulled 2- .000 lights with it, once off the brake and Sunday off the foot! I like her car.
