I knew that I had read somewhere over the years that the '68 wheel differed in depth from SOME other year but couldn't remember.
gtoguys, thanks. I think I'm going to use it, at least for a while.

According to the Ames catalog, the '69-'70 is 3 1/4" deep and '68 is 4 1/8" deep.

When I look at Scott's photo, I can actually see the difference. Wonder why the change? I think I'd actually like it more shallow as the Deluxe wheel is close enough to my chest as is.
