Chris, this is like the holy grail of 1971 201 interiors. Can you possibly get a shot of the left and right lower front floor vent grilles? I can see the passengers side somewhat in one shot but I can't quite get the details. One of the drivers side, too, would be beauty.
Thanks so much! Chad

The lighting seems to make a huge difference, too. If I take an example rear kick panel outside under natural lighting with the same camera it lightens up a lot. It's raining here today so there is no sunshine but you can see the difference between that.
![]() ![]() And inside with all of the same original parts from my car, plus the repainted metal pieces from over the door and the A pillar and a chunk of headliner material that is a potential. You might notice the inner door handle trim pieces in there. I know they are not like yours. I think we had discussed that before. I kick myself over the seats since the covers were in good shape except for one spot on the drivers seat. Everything probably needed to be resewn at the seams, but the material was still fairly good. ![]() ![]() Here's some I have of the original seats. Not much, but something to compare to. ![]() ![]() ![]() I should have at least saved the original covers, but no going back now. Chad

Do you mean the kick panels? If so, will these pictures do? If not, just let me know, and I will pull the car out and take more pictures (It's too dark in the garage to get good pictures unless I use a flash). Also, those newer pictures you took, the ones taken outside in the natural light, look dead-on to the color of my interior.

I have been spending some time this evening going over this thread (I've been finishing up a fuel injected 64 Corvette as of late).
Chad, thank so much for all of the detail work and all of the references to NOS part numbers. This thread is a real asset to the PY site. Tim |
