Agree. I've been using Brian Baskin's controllers for the last decade. Used close to a dozen now, zero failures. It usually takes a couple weeks to get one, but worth the wait: http://www.dccontrol.com/selector.htm

I was thinking of making one with more flexibility in temp adjustment etc.

Never got around to it.
