Sorry to hear this.

When I lived in Illinois in the 50s-70s thats where I would go for gasoline, as they had the dial on the side of the pump to get the good stuff.

It ain’t like it used to be, damn it.

28c / gallon, '68, N. Jersey. Could filler' up for $5. bucks. Man, those WERE the days!

There are still some Sunoco stations around Dayton, Oh. Generally attached to a convenience store. My first real job was running full service at a Gulf Gas station. Gulf No Nox was the high octane premium. Don't remember what it cost per gallon. I do remember Good Gulf, (regular) being 29.9 cents.
