I used to do lots of hiking and backpacking before my knees out, literally. So I enjoyed your photos. How many days where you guys (and dog) out there?

7 days, 6 nights. A good portion of it off-trail. Alpine Lakes Wilderness area, one of my favorite places on Earth. My old skier knees are rebelling against this kind of thing now, but I'm going to keep doing it 'til I simply can't any more.

There was a song about Red Skies in the 90's
Never knew they were talking about something real.
