With 400 cid and what compression, trans and rear gears ?
I had what I would call a step down cam from this in a stock driven daily TA with 8.2 comp , performer intake TB350 and 3.23 gears . The cam was a Isky 270 mega with 221 221 /470” on a 110. It sounded great was a thrill on the highway above 30 mph, especially after I opened the scoop, but could have used more gear or Al least 9.2 comp. If your cam will be in a similar 400 with less 3.23 gears then I would do so only with Rhoads lifters to buy back some bottom end.
