Given that the F and X bodies have totally-different steering stops than the A-bodies, I don't know how one part number can fit both styles.

If I were in the market, I'd be contacting Borgeson to find out which steering stops they're actually using--and therefore the number of degrees of Pitman arm travel the box allows.

Can you advise the number of Pitman arm degrees a 1968 A-body (GTO) should have? That would be extremely helpful when talking to Borgeson about the steering stops.

If you are going to call Borgeson about these boxes, would you ask them if they'll give you the specs on the torsion bar they put in these boxes please? As in the thickness of it (like .210 or .220) or the valve weight it takes to rotate (like 30-35#s). Thanks, Jeff

I just saw a question/answer on Summit about this. Here is Borgesons reply:

Borgeson Universal 800130 - Borgeson Universal Street and Performance Series Steering Boxes
There are two different steering radius applications: One for a Camaro and one for a Chevelle. The Camaro box has internal stops to limit the turning radius. How do I know which box I am getting? I already received a box for my Chevelle with the Camaro internal stops and it sucks. The specs on this box say that it's for a Camaro OR a Chevelle.

Our box has a full 88 degrees of rotation to allow it to fit multiple applications. Our box relies on the steering stops on the vehicles lower control arms. You will not have nay loss of turning radius with our steering box.
