I appreciate the offer but I had to get file to fit rings for the first rebuild so std bore rings won't work. I'm thinking of just selling the car anyways, I've sunk a couple grand and about 2 months just to get back where I started.

Let me ask you, was the block bored the first time, or did you just use standard pistons that cam in motor originally and just hone it and put in new file fitted rings in.

Standard pistons and a hone, it didn't need to be bored, the taper and wall condition were good enough to not have it bored

I’d have to see what the cylinder walls look like. I’m thinking if the compression good say 150 in each cylinder, figure out why its sucking oil down the intake, when you say intake you meaning intake of the head.

yes, I originally thought it was gas from the carb being misadjusted but the intake walls and floor were covered in oil
