I'd buy the PHS for the VIN. Then I'd try to find out if that car is out there. That would be your lottery hit if the drivetrain could be reunited with the car. Next, I'd share photos of casting dates and stamps, along with a good explanation of condition and work done. Documentation for the work is also helpful. Good luck!!

That's not a bad idea, but just purely speculating, I'd say that if this drivetrain got separated from the car, odds are the car was either not salvageable and was parted out and scrapped, or the owner has turned it into a restomod or pro touring car and has no interest in those parts whatsoever.
