I just went thru the same thing with my garage door. But no hurricane was involved. Everything is new seeing it was 25 to 30 years old. Seeing I had the torsion bar, I had the motor unit that bolts to the end of it added instead to the track down the center. What a Hugh difference, and well worth the money Even the door is now insulated with the metal facing inside too, About 3600.00 for everything. And best of all the motor is guaranteed for life.

I hope your door made it thru the hurricane safely.

We mage it through the hurricane with no damage at all. We dodged a major bullet!
When I had the door installed in 1998 I went with the insulated one. Other than one motor change about a year ago the door has been problem free.
