I didn't either until I talked to Ames. My install experience was a very good one with these reproductions. The two screw holes (front and back) lined up perfectly and the molding fastened pretty nicely to the clips. It looks nice and tight.

I still have my factory original moldings and will get to small dent removal and polishing at some point. I just don't have the time to play around with them right now.

With the way these reproductions look and fit, however, I don't know that I will be in a huge hurry to fix my originals.
