I've since learned that there are two versions of these adapters - one for F and X bodies with long branch and one for full-size cars with long branch. It appears the F/X body version is thinner and doesn't move the housing out as far toward the frame. I was able to locate one of these and order it. I do still need to locate a straight 90 degree filter housing to use with it.
