Better yet, some of you would rather run a cast rod ? Lol !! I'd like to see you say that to Smokey Yunick and Fireball Roberts.
BTW, a forged Pontiac rod set the pole speed at Daytona in 1963 too, with forged GM rods. Beating the 427 Fords and 427 Chevy Mystery Motors.
Goldsmith beat the 427 Chevy Corvettes with the Lemans running a 421 with GM forged rods.
