I don’t see why line boring would necessarily be needed. I’d get some caps off a junk rear and install them with bearings and races see how they fit the rear should be inline with the axle bearings but I can tell you having launched stick cars hard for many years the rear ends can banana and still run really well. In fact stock eliminator cars set the rear up so under load they get straight which means the rest of the time they are bent. lol. So as long as the caps clamp the bearings and races properly that’s all you need to worry about
