Strict70#2, does the car still have the original engine?
What is the engine code on it?


Also have a pic of the cowl tag?

It does have the original engine. Bought it with 43,000 miles on it. I matched the vin when we pulled the engine in 2005. Original tranny, intake, carb as well. Have all the paperwork for maintenance going back to the point of sale.

Ill get you. a pic of the cowl tag when i go home tonight.

Cool. Just unusual to have a 400 2bbl in a GTO I figured.
Wonder if that was a Canada thing?
(I haven't looked for engine production figures yet)

Where did you get the idea it was a 2 barrel carburetor?

The Protect-O-Plate shows a 400 2bbl on it?

What is the engine code and eun on your engine?
