Brake locked? Is the linkage connected? When did it last move on it's own power?

It Moved on it's own power a couple of weeks ago. That's when I realized I desperately needed a new column. I think the linkage is connected as I hear clunk when its going in gear. Plus I put a brand new cotter pin on it. It was puking transmission fluid pretty bad but I don't think that would hurt it. As i was still able to put in gear just fine.

You say the transmission was 'puking fluid'. That's NEVER a good thing.
Make sure your transmission fluid is filled up to where it needs to be. If it's really low, it might not move, even if the linkage is in the correct spot for the gear. |
