Tick em both off and sell it to me. Haha.
Unless otherwise noted I have always gone with the first "I'll take it" but others can chime in just in case I am way off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Most folks go with first contact. So PM would get it.
I did a set free hand and did not grind enough so have a set of heads to do and get the clearance right.

I just chucked a rat-tail file in my drill, EASY on the throttle, and made pretty quick work out of it. A light coat of primer on the pushrods in the concerned area, mock it up, turn the engine over a few times... kept power-filing & rechecking until the primer was unblemished.
Having a proper tool would take all the fun out of it!

Lee I ground pretty easily with a die grinder ,just not enough about 3/4" down so something to get the right angle might help me. My problem was I thought I had ground enough so assembled heads on it and didn't want to burn a set of head gaskets and time to reclean the heads to grind more.
I do have a Isky piston notching tool I've let some of my 409 guys borrow to notch the block for the exhaust valve when using a big cam. Over .520ish the exhaust valve hits the combustion chamber built into the block. So passing it around wouldn't be an issue. Not sure if the drill wears it out after awhile. Comp makes one for old iron SBC heads.
