Anyone know of a product that works well to replace the factory mastic used between the hood inr and otr panels?

All I know is that you want something that stays soft and plyable, If it sets up hard it will wrap the crap out of the sheetmetal when it expands and contracts.

Liquid Nails appears dry, but it will bubble-up most paints.

FWIW 3M black weatherstrip adhesive also bubbles-up car paint.

The alternate idea: I tried Dum dum..does not hold under tension if the plys are gapped away.

I haven't tried this stuff but it is from Fusor so it must be OK. The description sounds like what is needed for a hood or trunk panel.
