Im not sure what my '81 weighs,but I put it on a diet!!!
It lost about 40 pounds this weekend...all off the front of the car.I have started removing stuff that I dont need/use.Removed the factory computer and wiring harness,cruise control box,A/C and heater box on the firewall and all of the duct work,controlls,wiring,heater core and anything else that is heat/ a/c related.Of course this is not a viable option for a daily driver but mine will not be street driven very often. All of this crap removed also made the engine bay look much cleaner/less cluttered. Colin

Good luck at your car shows hope you win 1st in the Stock Compact everyday driver nothing special about me class. Or the i want to go fast but cant afford a good car so i buy this crap and put in a sound system cauz the bass gets my A$$ down the street class. but other then that. Nice Car

My old 79 firebird was 3460 w\o driver, no exhaust,slicks, no p\s,no a\c, gutted front bumper,no heater, and who knows how much weight migrated to the ground over the years.(rust) My friends 79 T\A t-top was 3680 w\o driver.

My 79 TA weighs 3060lbs. Thats with a 8 point roll cage. All the steel is in the doors. But I put everything else on a diet.
