Are the headers still on schedule? Do you have a new "expected date"?
Thanks, Mark

Randy,
I have 2 D-ports left & 2 guys said the same thing "I'll get you the cash in a week" So I told them the same thing. The sooner the better I only have 1 Formula & only need 1 set for it. Ron

I already emailed you privately but again I will buy a set of the RAV's for my 69 GTO. Still doing them at the end of August? Jim

OK guys set me straight so I can set this up. I have heard that if you build a set on one year body then it will fit all A-bodys 64'-72' & if you use the other year it wont fit all years. So Which way is right?
If you have a set of headers for a 64' GTO then they fit all A-bodys Or A set for 70's will fit all A-bodys Jim I'm still trying to find someone that has a loaner car that I can set my R/A V heads in to start the designing. I have my Formula to do the V's on for 2nd gen birds but I have to sell the 455 in it fist.

Ron,
Dont know how you are designing the headers-CAD or paper and pencil- but I could mock up my heads on my other 69 GTO and give you some measurements to work with if you cant scare up a car to use. I do have an old set of headers but they are 2-piece JR's that go around the front of the crossmember. That means no ground clearance though. Not what I need for a street car. Jim

They are to be made on the car to asure they fit. Thanks for the offer but your probably a few thousand miles away. Since your in Ohio. I would need someone in mid to lower Ca. to be ideal. Ron

Tunnelport,
Since no one else has jumped in to answer, I thought I'd tell you how I understand it. A nationally known header manufacturer recently used my '64 to fit some new style headers they were developing. As I understand it, when they fit the headers to my '64 there were clearance problems when they did a trial fit on a '68 -- something about the crossmember being wider on the '68 and the engine sitting differently. So I suppose in answer to your question, if it fits and '68 and later, it will fit a '67 and earlier, not vice versa. Tim |

Pipe names! Being a graphic artist in the advertising world, this is right up my alley! Here's my two cents.
Why don't you call 'em by what they do the best? Scavengers. Picture a bad-A vulture (or a bird of prey) perched on a set of pipes shaped like a cactus. I like the "Peacemakers" too. I immediately pictured a close up of a bullet coming out of a tailpipe! You could do lots with that theme: Fire up your car! Make a bullet out of your car with a pair of Peacemakers! It's part of the Wild West/Indian genre, which has great appeal.

Goin Topless,
That sounds cool. How would you recommend incorporating an Arrow head in the pic? Maybe the vulture pulling it out of a Comaro's dead carcass. Or a heart with a chevy emblem on it (Heart Beat of America)? Maybe an Indian standing in the back ground with a bow. Tim Dean, Thanks, I think that's what I needed to know. Ron

Tunnel Port, I'm in San Diego....Where are you?
By "Loner Car" do you mean that you need a car to borrow? Or can you do it mobile? (my place) What size are your tri-Y's? My Brother needs a 1 3/4 - 1 7/8 set for his '72 TA. He has the original HO Tri-Y's on it now but will need more flow with his new Procharger combo.

R 70 Judge,
Im in Napa. Yes I would need to have the car at the headers co. I may have someone now. I'll know tomarrow. The Tri-y's have 1 3/4"primaries to 2" secondarys then to a choice of 2 1/2" or 3" collector. Ron
