My neighbor introduced me to a product called "Heavy Metal Polish" cleaner
It is available in 3 different levels of abrasive
Coarse, medium, fine.
He uses this stuff on all of the polished aluminum components in his blown camaro show car.
I bought a bottle of the coarse, for my poor condition step sill plates, works wonders also.
