First time poster looking for info and want to share my experiences. Got a few cars, this is my first GTO. Found a nice 69 low option Texas car (built in Arlington, owned in Dallas). Motor seized and was parked in 74 with 56K on odometer. Has a 455 in it now and just received the #'s matching engine from the rebuilder in Tulsa.
In the meantime I was attempting to add a rally cluster to the car and found one on ebay. I took some pix before I tore it apart but now need clarification on how the double thick nuts are used, couldn't tell from my pix. I think they are on the U shaped insulator but not sure. Can anyone confirm or share some pix of a cluster ? Here are some before pix....I'll post some in progress pix as I go. Thanks for any help. |

I removed the goo that was some sort of foam and soaked the case in Eastwood rust remover then clear coated it.

You are correct it is a 70 speedo, I am actually going to keep my 69 but was tempted to upgrade.
