70 -Dual or single snorkel? does plant have anything to do with it?
I know I have searched the forums before and was convinced that 70 T/A's are supposed to be single snorkel but I still read other places it was dual.
I have a blue on blue 30,000 original that came with a dual and I have a 71 that needs a dual air cleaner.
I find it hard to believe that someone lost the single and searched at length and found a double for my 70, and I have seen others with the dual.The dual I have still has the GM part # sticker on it. Is it possible that cars from different plants got different air cleaners? Mine was a complete dip in red oxide. Is it easier to make a single and that is why some have a single instead of paying top dollar for a dual?
